Mohamed I. Saad

Dr Mohamed Saad is a registered Pharmacist and Postdoctoral Scientist at the Hudson Institute of Medical Research, Monash University, Australia. He completed his PhD studies in 2019 from Monash University, Australia, under the supervision of Prof. Brendan Jenkins. He has authored 31 publications (including 12 first-author, 2 last-author, 15 corresponding author) and been awarded a number of scholarships, fellowships and awards, including Monash International Postgraduate Research Scholarship, Monash Publication Award, Hudson Postgraduate Travel Fellowship Award, Best Poster Prize at the Lorne Cancer conference, Milstein Travel Award and Cancer Council Victoria (CCV) Postdoctoral Research Fellowship. He was also selected as one of six Hudson Institute Emerging Leaders in 2021. He has presented his work at 11 national and international conferences and symposia, and been invited to present his work at the University of Kiel, Germany. He currently supervises 2 Honours and 1 PhD students, and 1 Research Assistant. His research interests include elucidating the role of the iRhom pseudoproteases, ADAM17 protease, and IL-6 cytokine signalling in the pathophysiology of inflammatory diseases and cancers.
